About Us

Ecotech Gambia is a young social enterprise working to introduce solar energy for agricultural purposes through technologies that promote sustainable development in rural areas of The Gambia.

Its work in partnership with international stakeholders and local communities permits to align the goals of one group with the needs of the other.

Our History

EcoTech Gambia (ETGa) is a young social enterprise whose mission is to make solar technology for agriculture accessible and profitable on a large scale. Founded in 2026, it is the Guinean subsidiary of EcoTech Mali (ETM), which was founded in 2020 by four co-founders (two Malians and two Swiss). After six successful years, EcoTech Guinea is the natural evolution of this journey: another step towards the objective of making EcoTech the leading name in agri-solar in West Africa.

Our activities are currently organized around three main areas, namely:

The dissemination of sustainable technologies to promote inclusive growth, improve productivity and encourage self-reliance in production chains, thereby better feeding the population and addressing Gambia's food security challenges;
Building the capacity of local communities to promote full employment;
Support for the ecological and energy transition to consider climate realities

Since our founding, we have been promoting sustainable agricultural technologies to make them accessible in rural areas. To support farmers’ organizations in their development, we provide the human and financial resources needed to meet our partners’ ambitions on a daily basis.

Our activities focus on importing and selling technology, as well as capacity building and the ecological and energy transition.

EcoTech Gambia is, above all, about expertise and teamwork, with a focus on ensuring the satisfaction of our clients and partners by guaranteeing positive impacts wherever we operate.
